Donna Zmijewski volunteers as a part-time office assistant. Donna grew up in Schuylkill County. In the past, she has worked as a medical

transcriptionist and a veterinary assistant.
Donna lives with the diagnosis of Schizoaffective Disorder, but that doesn't stop her from being active and involved with NAMI activities.
She volunteers her time at the NAMI PA York County office twice a week, and also volunteers as a Connection Support Group facilitator, an In Own Own Voice presenter, and a support assistant for Peer-to-Peer classes. She finds that giving back to others is one of the most important parts of her life.
Donna's other interests include art and crossword puzzles. Art allows her the freedom to express herself in a creative way. Crosswords keep her mind active. Both activities require her to focus her attention solely on the task at hand.
